Modding an Xbox 360 Live

Ahoy ahoy!

I know it’s been awhile since we’ve posted anyting- but that’s mostly because we have no news!? YAY

Just a heads up for tonight’s schedule, as I am actually quite bored…
i will be modding a 360 lite-on drive firmware to the latest version of iXtreme LT.
This is a virgin console, never even been played.
I am not too sure how long this will actually take due to the fact I haven’t touched an xbox in quite some time.

PLEASE NOTE: I do not condone anything I (phonz) do or say on the stream. It’s all for educational purposes and in the spirit of curiosity.

<3♥ and Peace

Finally!

Hey there freak =)

Expect some Megaman ownage this summer!

The website has been updated, finally!

That took more than two weeks, it’s mostly due to the frustrating circumstances encountered with the blog-forum integration. Hopefully, with any luck, everything will work the way it should from now on.

The following is a list of updates to the website

  • the blog and forum are now integrated, meaning one username signs you into both the blog and forum
  • blog user avatars are now based off the forum avatar
  • added the ability for future users/staff to write their own blogs (still needs to be tested though)
  • removed the blog login as everything will be done now through the forum login now
  • some other minor tweaks

Please, if you find anything not working with the website PM phonz with specific details on where/how to encounter the perceived error.

As for the broadcast updates…
Uncensored Gamers will now have regularly scheduled broadcast dates. Starting June 1st, 2010, Uncensored Gamers will be broadcasting a minimum of twice a week. You can expect us to cast every Tuesday PLUS either Saturday or Sunday and then whatever other time we can squeeze in. We brought this about with anticipation of gaining some userbase in the coming summer months. That, plus there have been a massive amount of games released and we have a massive amount of retro games to finish.

Well, I think that just about sums it up for this post.
Hope to see everyone around on the broadcast (=

Forum/Blog Bridge in-the-works

~Ahoy Ahoy~

Just a bit of news for you.

I have decided to implement a bridge between our blog and forum. This will integrate the users from phpBB into wordpress and vice-versa so only a single sign-up will be needed to access the entire website. I may also give the option to start your own blog here on the website for users who wish to write reviews or… whatever.

We should have everything up and running by the end of the weekend with everything intact.

Forum Change

I always wanted a yellow hardhat when I was a kid.

Ahoy ahoy!

Just a minor update I’d like to bring to everyone’s attention in regards to the forums.

It’s been decided unanimously (by the committee which consists of just me) that the forum boards need to be changed. I wish I could say it was being changed over to vB or IPB, but for now it will remain on free forum software. The conversion will most likely be to phpBB3 as it’s slowly becoming apparent to us that SMF is just… too simple.
The conversion will be done today and hopefully everything will be functional again by the end of the weekend. It really shouldn’t take too long for the actually changeover, but re-doing the theme will take some effort.

With that said, I’d like to let say how awesome it was having everyone on the stream the other night as Leo and I played thru BFBC2.
We finished the campaign the following night, it didn’t take very long. In case you missed it, you can head over to JTV Archives and watch our broadcast from February 25th, 2010 7:50PM -5h EST.

SNES-Fest Twenty-Ten (Update)

SNES Fest Twenty Ten

Alright ladies and gents, the list of SNES has been compiled AND, my gawd, I have never seen anything so epic. Actually, I saw this seagull try and mount a squirrel once… but I’ll save that story for another time.
So I bet you are pretty curious about what we have come up with in terms of gaming for the evening. So, with my grand blog administrative power, I present to you…

SNES-FEST TWENTY-TEN LINEUP

  1. Super Mario World
  2. Megaman X
  3. Captain Commando
  4. Turtles in Time
  5. Super Castlevania 4
  6. Killer Instinct
  7. Super Bomberman
  8. Secret of Mana
  9. Super Metroid
  10. Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past
  11. Mario Cart
  12. Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
  13. Sunset Riders
  14. Sparkster
  15. Street Fighter II
  16. Power Rangers
  17. Donkey Kong
  18. Diddy Kong
  19. Contra 3
  20. Starfox
  21. Kirby Superstar
  22. Wild Guns
  23. Goemon
  24. Battletoads & Double Dragon

So as you can see, 24 games in 24 hours. I doubt we’ll be able to finish many of these games. I also know Leo will grow tired of a few of these titles quicker than others. BUT we’ll try to average it out to about 1 game/hour, and if we go over 24 hours who cares ^_^

Again, just to set it stone, here are the details!

Event: SNES-Fest Twenty-Ten
Start: Friday, February 13th, 2010 @ 12:00 PM (Noon) EST -5H GMT
End: Saturday, February 14th, 2010 @ Lunch Time
What’s going down: Leo and Jer play a variety of nostalgic Super Nintendo games over a period of 24+ hours. Come hang out, watch us fail, chat it up, reminisce about the golden video game age of 16-bit hardware. Also, donate a couple coins to your bro’s for all of our hard work and hours we put into this stuff, har har hee hee.

Hope to see 100’s of 1000’s of viewers, because if I don’t… I am going to have to take my rage out on Leo!
SONIC BOOM!!!
